Football Game Preview: Charlton County Indians vs. Screven County Gamecocks + How To Watch

The Charlton County Indians will face off against the Screven County Gamecocks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Charlton County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Macon County 35-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Screven County). They claimed a resounding 48-0 victory over Glascock County. The result was nothing new for the Gamecocks, who have now won nine contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Screven County's win came from a few key players Charlton County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was AB Hilton, who rushed for 74 yards and a pair of TDs. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 60 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Demarko Ward, who rushed for 50 yards and one touchdown.

Screven County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 263 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 175 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Screven County, racking up 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Slate Thompson, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Screven County's record is now 11-0. As for Charlton County, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
