Baseball Recap: Priceville Bulldogs vs. Randolph School Raiders

After a string of six wins, Priceville's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 9-5 to the Randolph School Raiders. Priceville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Randolph School apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Wes Walker was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with a home run, two RBI, and a double. Another player making a difference was Jake England, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Even though they lost, Priceville was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with three doubles. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they post three or more doubles.

On Randolph School's side, they got a big performance out of Michael Vega, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Tomalty, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Priceville's defeat dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Randolph School, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-16.

Priceville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Randolph School, they will head out on the road to face off against Whitesburg Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Whitesburg Christian Academy's favor as the team sits on ten straight wins at home while Randolph School has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
