Basketball Game Preview: Choctawhatchee Indians vs. Ridgeview Panthers

The Choctawhatchee Indians will square off against the Ridgeview Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Choctawhatchee is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Choctawhatchee heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Thursday. They fell to Pine Forest 61-56.

Meanwhile, Ridgeview was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 44-38 to Orange Park.

Choctawhatchee will have to contain Nacoya Blocton as she made an impact in Ridgeview's last game. She dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most boards Blocton has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Narissa Blocton, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Ridgeview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Choctawhatchee's record is now 9-12. As for Ridgeview, their record is now 19-5.
