Football Game Preview: Pinellas Park Patriots vs. Braden River Pirates

The Pinellas Park Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Braden River Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pinellas Park not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 7, 2024 (when they won 49-13). They blew past Tarpon Springs 38-6. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Spongers are ranked 472nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Braden River, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. They walked away with a 24-14 victory over North Port last Friday. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won five in a row.

The victory got Braden River back to even at 3-3. As for Pinellas Park, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Pinellas Park against Braden River in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-13 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
