Basketball Recap: Northwood Comes Up Short

Northwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Ottawa Hills Green Bears, falling 84-47. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 758th, while the Green Bears are ranked 329th).

Northwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Ottawa Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Northwood will head out on the road to take on Maumee Valley Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th. Maumee Valley Country Day is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62 points per game this season. As for Ottawa Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Emmanuel Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th.
