Basketball Recap: Syracuse Wins Going Away Against Fairbury

Syracuse's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down the Fairbury Jeffs 42-28. The Rockets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jeffs, too.

Despite the loss, Fairbury still got an impressive performance from Korey Nippert, who posted seven points and four steals. Drew Watson was another key player, putting up two points and six boards.

Syracuse's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Fairbury, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

Syracuse has already played their next contest, a 68-55 win against Plattsmouth on the 25th. As for Fairbury, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-41 defeat against Sandy Creek on the 28th.
