Baseball Recap: Elk County Catholic Takes a Loss

Elk County Catholic came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to the Clarion Area Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 11-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Elk County Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Brem, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Brem also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Elk County Catholic now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Clarion Area, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Elk County Catholic will square off against Bradford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clarion Area, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Redbank Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
