It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Granite Hills had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Del Norte Nighthawks. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on 15 straight.

Granite Hills saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eurijah Schutza, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Schutza has posted since back in April. Another was Phillip Jones, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.

Granite Hills' victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-0-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Del Norte, they moved to 17-11 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Granite Hills didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against St. Augustine on the 23rd. As for Del Norte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Carlsbad on the 23rd.
