Baseball Recap: North Baltimore Takes a Loss

Bluffton hit North Baltimore with a four-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 12-2 to the Pirates. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

This is the second loss in a row for North Baltimore and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Bluffton, their record is now 8-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Baltimore will challenge Upper Scioto Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bluffton, they will square off against Arlington at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Red Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.08 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
