Basketball Recap: Carnegie Comes Up Short

Carnegie lost against Apache back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Carnegie Wildcats took a blow against the Apache Warriors, falling 63-22.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Uzziah Ahhaitty, who posted eight points. The dominant performance also gave Ahhaitty a new career-high in rebounds (three).

Carnegie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Apache, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Carnegie Wildcats challenge the Lookeba-Sickles Panthers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carnegie is facing Lookeba-Sickles at the right time seeing as Lookeba-Sickles is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Apache, they will head out to take on Hobart at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
