The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Comer in their matchups with ITW David Speer Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Comer saw an underclassman step up: Ra'Quima Wilson scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. The game was Wilson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliyah Hudson, who scored 4 points.
ITW David Speer Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anaiyah Costoso out in front who scored 11 points along with 5 steals and 5 blocks. Another player making a difference was Mia Lozada, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals and 3 blocks.
Comer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for ITW David Speer Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
