Softball Recap: Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights vs. United South Central Rebels
Thursday just wasn't the day for Kenyon-Wanamingo's offense. They fell just short of the United South Central Rebels by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Kenyon-Wanamingo was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as United South Central apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Josie Flom spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings every time she's pitched this season.
Kenyon-Wanamingo dropped their record down to 9-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for United South Central, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-1.
Kenyon-Wanamingo will head out on the road to square off against Pine Island at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. United South Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
