Baseball Recap: Carbon Hill Comes Up Short

Carbon Hill came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Hubbertville Lions, falling 10-4. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2017.

Carbon Hill saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samuel Aaron, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI Aaron has posted since back in March of 2024. Hunter Taylor also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Carbon Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hubbertville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Carbon Hill will take on Cordova in a tournament on Monday. As for Hubbertville, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Sulligent at 4:30 p.m.
