Basketball Recap: Academy of Central Florida Regional Comes Up Short on the Road Against DME Academy Regional

Academy of Central Florida Regional had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 63-43 to DME Academy Regional on Thursday. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Golden Bulls struggled afterwards.

DME Academy Regional found their leader in freshman Krystina LaFoucade, who shot 60% from the field on her way to 19 points and five steals. LaFoucade is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Savyon Kamer, who posted nine points and five boards.

DME Academy Regional now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, DME Academy Regional will face off against Satellite at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Academy of Central Florida Regional will be paying especially close attention to DME Academy Regional's game: after DME Academy Regional face off against North Tampa Christian Academy, they'll take on Academy of Central Florida Regional again on February 3, 2026.
