Football Game Preview: Carmel Corsairs vs. St. Charles North North Stars + How To Watch

The Carmel Corsairs will take on the St. Charles North North Stars at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Carmel comes in on four and St. Charles North on three.

Carmel is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-44 win over Normal Community. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Corsairs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Ironmen are ranked 99th).

A big part of Carmel's victory came down to the chemistry between Trae Taylor and his top target Eli Jackson. Taylor threw for 371 yards and three TDs while completing 84.6% of his passes while Jackson picked up 223 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Jackson a new career-high.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for St. Charles North against East Moline United on Friday as the team secured a 42-12 win. The contest marked the North Stars' most dominant victory of the season.

St. Charles North's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Carmel, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Carmel came up short against St. Charles North in their previous matchup back in October of 2016, falling 31-24. Can the Corsairs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
