Basketball Recap: Concordia Comes Up Short

Concordia lost against Archbishop Bergan last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Concordia Mustangs lost to the Archbishop Bergan Knights on the road by a 47-28 margin.

When it comes to explaining why Concordia lost, don't look at Charis Hughes. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 boards gave Hughes a new career-high.

Concordia has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Archbishop Bergan, they pushed their record up to 7-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Concordia will challenge Plattsmouth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Plattsmouth is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.
