Baseball Recap: Red Springs Takes a Loss

Red Springs had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 6-15 to make it 12. They came up short against the West Bladen Knights, falling 10-0. The Red Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for West Bladen, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games.

For West Bladen's part, they got a big performance out of JT Hepler, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Hepler a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cade Allen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

While Red Springs had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
