Basketball Recap: Lovelady Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

Lovelady waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took down the Grapeland Sandies 50-35. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 77-54 back in January.

Several Sandies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mikayla Woods, who posted eight points and six steals. Woods is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. Morgan Terry was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Lovelady has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points per game. As for Grapeland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-11.

Lovelady does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grapeland, they will be playing at home against Fruitvale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
