Basketball Game Preview: Cusick Panthers vs. St. John-Endicott Eagles

The Cusick Panthers will take on the St. John-Endicott Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Cusick has given up an average of 58.8 points per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cusick duked it out with Curlew on Saturday. The Panthers walked away with a 69-60 win over the Cougars.

Meanwhile, St. John-Endicott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 67-26 loss at the hands of Garfield-Palouse. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Vikings are ranked 142nd).

Cusick's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-8. As for St. John-Endicott, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Everything came up roses for Cusick against St. John-Endicott in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 72-43 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
