Soccer Game Preview: Larkin vs. Plainfield East

Larkin is 0-3 against Plainfield East since March of 2019 but things could change on Saturday. Larkin will square off against Plainfield East at 10:30 a.m.

Larkin fell victim to Sycamore and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 3-0. Larkin have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Plainfield East made sure to put some goals up on the board against Guilford on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Vikings a 5-0 shutout. Plainfield East haven't had any issues with Guilford recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Larkin's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Plainfield East, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Larkin might still be hurting after the 6-2 defeat they got from Plainfield East when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Larkin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
