Soccer Game Preview: Seton Catholic vs. Bourgade Catholic

The Seton Catholic Sentinels will head out to square off against the Bourgade Catholic Golden Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Seton Catholic has three straight wins, Bourgade Catholic has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

If Bourgade Catholic heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Seton Catholic took over last week. Seton Catholic blew past Northwest Christian 6-1 on Wednesday. The Sentinels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by five goals or more this season.

They hit Northwest Christian with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Laurel Stoft (3), Ella Bruening, Emerson Stoft, and Ava Peth.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Bourgade Catholic's offense. They lost 9-0 to ALA - West Foothills on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Guardians are ranked 38th).

Bourgade Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Seton Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
