Basketball Game Preview: Leakey Eagles vs. Comstock Panthers

The Leakey Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Comstock Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Leakey has struggled recently with 11 losses in a row, while Comstock will arrive with four straight victories.

On Friday, Leakey took a blow against Utopia, falling 85-48.

Meanwhile, Comstock won against Medina on Tuesday with 58 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Panthers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Rocksprings 58-29. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season.

Comstock's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Leakey, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Leakey might still be hurting after the 66-44 loss they got from Comstock when the teams last played back in December of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
