Recap: South Walton Seahawks vs. Niceville Eagles
The South Walton Seahawks entered their tilt with the Niceville Eagles with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. South Walton came out on top against Niceville by a score of 40-32 on Saturday. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, as South Walton did.
Leading South Walton to victory were Brock Ward and Carson Hawk. Ward scored 11 points along with seven rebounds, while Hawk scored ten points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Walsh, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Niceville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fred Libby, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Hamman, who scored nine points.
South Walton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. As for Niceville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
South Walton will head out on the road to challenge Jay at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Jay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for Niceville, they will be playing at home against Rutherford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
