Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only East Pennsboro walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Archbishop Wood Vikings on Monday. The Panthers' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Niko Thalassinos looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Aaron Angelo was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

East Pennsboro's win was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 9 runs thus far. As for Archbishop Wood, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7.

Looking ahead, East Pennsboro will square off against Elizabeth Forward on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 1.8, the Warriors 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Archbishop Wood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
