Basketball Recap: Highland Park Comes Up Short

If Highland Park was feeling good fresh off their 42-21 takedown of Higher Ground Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Highland Park Scots were beaten by the Como Park Cougars 92-24 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while the Cougars are ranked 174th).

Highland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Como Park, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-9.

Highland Park has already played their next matchup (against St. Paul Academy-Summit), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Como Park Cougars face off against the St. Croix Prep Lions at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th.
