Softball Preview: Monte Vista Mustangs vs. Granada Matadors
Monte Vista is 0-10 against Granada since April of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Mustangs will take on the Matadors at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Thursday just wasn't the day for Monte Vista's offense. They lost 7-0 to Livermore on Thursday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Samantha Kaiman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances.
