Volleyball Game Preview: Morenci Bulldogs vs. Sand Creek Aggies

The Morenci Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Sand Creek Aggies at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Morenci and nine for Sand Creek.

On Saturday, Morenci didn't have quite enough to beat Concord and fell 2-1.

Morenci started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Sand Creek came up short against Lenawee Christian last Saturday and fell 2-0.

Sand Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11-1. As for Morenci, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1.

Morenci beat Sand Creek 2-0 in their previous matchup back in August. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
