Football Game Preview: Highland Tech Rams vs. Hayesville Yellowjackets

The Highland Tech Rams will square off against the Hayesville Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Highland Tech has given up an average of 50.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Highland Tech's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Burns two weeks ago. They were beaten by the Bulldogs 48-0. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hayesville). They really took it to Andrews for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-14 win. With that victory, the Yellowjackets brought their scoring average up to 26 points per game.

Highland Tech better keep an eye on Tre Graves. He was instrumental in Hayesville's win, rushing for 334 yards and four scores while picking up 18.6 yards per carry. Those 334 rushing yards gave Graves a new career-high. Kaden Ledford was another key player, rushing for 28 yards and a pair of TDs.

Hayesville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 448 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Hayesville's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Highland Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
