Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Wildcats vs. Crestview Knights

Jefferson is 2-8 against Crestview since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Jefferson Wildcats will host the Crestview Knights at 6:30 p.m.

Jefferson is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-53 heartbreaker at the hands of Paulding. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 16-8 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Crestview came tearing into Saturday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 67-37 victory over the Indians. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 22 points or more this season.

Crestview's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
