Baseball Recap: White Plains Has No Trouble Against Mount Vernon

White Plains never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Mount Vernon Knights as they made off with a 10-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won eight in a row.

Tyler Older was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two triples, and three runs. He is becoming a predictor of White Plains' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 6-7 when he doesn't). Gavin Townsend was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

White Plains hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.

White Plains' record now sits at 10-8. As for Mount Vernon, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

White Plains will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair will be back at it again later today.
