Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Christian School Eagles vs. Coram Deo Academy Lions

The Southwest Christian School Eagles will square off against the Coram Deo Academy Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece.

Last Friday, Southwest Christian School lost to Grace Prep on the road by a 64-47 margin. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 856th, while the Lions are ranked 150th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-35, which was the final score in Coram Deo Academy's tilt against Trinity Christian on Friday.

Southwest Christian School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Coram Deo Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

Everything came up roses for Southwest Christian School against Coram Deo Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2021, as the squad secured a 92-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southwest Christian School since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
