Dundee-Crown won the last time they faced McHenry and things went their way on Thursday too. The Chargers won by a set and slipped past the Warriors 2-1.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Dundee-Crown who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 24-26, 25-13.

Erin Bruce paced Dundee-Crown's offense, picking up 15 kills. Bruce got some help from Tori Brents and her 17 assists. Bruce was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Dundee-Crown's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for McHenry, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Coming up, Dundee-Crown will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Huntley at 5:30 p.m. As for McHenry, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Central on the 27th.
