Baseball Recap: Long Beach Poly Comes Up Short

Long Beach Poly came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Mira Costa Mustangs, falling 9-2.

Long Beach Poly saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Deven Munoz, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Long Beach Poly dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mira Costa, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Long Beach Poly will be taking part in a tournament against Palos Verdes at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mira Costa, they will take on San Pedro in a tournament on Saturday.
