Basketball Recap: Mackay Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Mackay extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Kaizer Summers. The Mackay Miners strolled past the Taylor's Crossing Eagles with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 63-49 thanks in part to Summers, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 18 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Mackay's points.

Ryker Summers was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games he's played.

Mackay's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Taylor's Crossing, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Mackay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-32 loss against Butte County on the 20th. Taylor's Crossing has also already played their next game, a 50-39 win against American Heritage on the 20th.
