Baseball Recap: Pattonsburg Gets the Win

Pattonsburg never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Stanberry Bulldogs as they made off with a 15-0 victory.

Landon Preston made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Preston was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Reagan Coin and Camden Griffith did most of the damage at the plate: Coin scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Griffith scored three runs while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Camden Mossburg, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Pattonsburg's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Stanberry, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Pattonsburg will head out on the road to take on St. Joseph Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Stanberry has already played their next matchup (against Gilman City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
