MaxPreps Top 25 Regional High School Football Computer Rankings: South Region

South Panola, Mainland move up the rankings.



The state of Mississippi now has two teams ranked in the top three in the MaxPreps South Region Football Computer Rankings after South Panola (Batesville, Miss.) moved up to the third spot this week.

South Panola replaces Washington (Miami), which was No. 3.

Starkville (Miss.) is the No. 1 team in the region while Colquitt County (Moultrie, Ga.) is No. 2.

Mainland (Daytona Beach, Fla.) continues to make noise in Florida as it remained undefeated and moved up from No. 10 to No. 7 this week. Another big mover was Gilman (Baltimore), which rose from No. 25 to No. 13.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings. The South region includes teams from Florida, Tennessee, Maryland, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Washington D.C., Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
