Plainedge had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Kings Park Kingsmen on Saturday. The two-run effort marked the Red Devils' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Plainedge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Loccisano, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Plainedge's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Kings Park, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-3.

Looking ahead, Plainedge will take on Marlboro Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Dukes have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Kings Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
