Basketball Game Preview: Gulliver Prep Raiders vs. iMater Charter Knights

The Gulliver Prep Raiders will take on the iMater Charter Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Monday, Gulliver Prep was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 71-65 to Mater Bay Academy. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask iMater Charter). In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 59-58 win over JC Bermudez Doral. With that victory, the Knights brought their scoring average up to 51.8 points per game.

Gulliver Prep better keep an eye on Alexander Masis. He was instrumental in iMater Charter's win, going 6-for-14 en route to 21 points. Masis' big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Brian Benitez was another key player, putting up 12 points and five boards.

Gulliver Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for iMater Charter, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
