Volleyball Recap: Berkeley Falls to College Park in First Game of Season

Berkeley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the College Park Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Berkeley was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made College Park work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-16, 23-25, 17-25, 15-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berkeley will venture away from home to take on Saint Mary's at 6:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for College Park, they will head out to challenge Pittsburg at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
