Football Recap: Paradise Valley Christian Prep Takes a Loss

The Paradise Valley Christian Prep Panthers had to suffer through a 34-6 loss at the hands of the Berean Academy Eagles. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

JOHNNY TORRES went supernova For Berean Academy., rushing for 184 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also picking up 33 receiving yards and one TD. Those 184 rushing yards gave TORRES a new career-high. ISAAC MERRILL was another key player, gaining 121 total yards and a touchdown.

Paradise Valley Christian Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Berean Academy, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Paradise Valley Christian Prep and Berean Academy will both be playing Southwest Leadership Academy the next time they take the field. The Eagles will head out to face the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on October 2.
