Basketball Recap: Vince Cramsey and Reed Sparrow Secure Win for Liberty

There's no place like home for Liberty, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the Rushville-Industry Rockets with a sharp 59-37 victory on Monday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their 29-point performance the game before.

Leading Liberty to victory were Reed Sparrow and Vince Cramsey. Sparrow went 7-for-15 to rack up 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Cramsey went 9-for-19 on his way to 23 points. That's the most points Sparrow has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jack Sparrow, who had eight points and four steals.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Rushville-Industry, they dropped their record down to 11-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will challenge Pittsfield at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rushville-Industry, they are taking a road trip to challenge Illini West at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Illini West will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Rushville-Industry surely won't give up without a fight.
