Basketball Recap: Wooddale Takes a Loss

Wooddale was the 68-57 winner over Hamilton when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Wooddale Cardinals were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 63-62 to the Hamilton Wildcats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (60), the Cardinals still had to take the loss.

Wooddale's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Hamilton, the victory snapped their losing streak at 11 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-8 record.

Wooddale and Kingsbury will compete for holiday cheer at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wooddale is facing Kingsbury at the right time seeing as Kingsbury is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Hamilton, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Westwood at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
