Basketball Recap: Front Range Christian Falcons vs. Union Colony Prep Timberwolves
After flying high against Belleview Christian last Tuesday, Front Range Christian came back down to earth. The Front Range Christian Falcons came up short against the Union Colony Prep Timberwolves on Thursday, falling 55-34. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Timberwolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.
Soliana Gebremeskel continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Union Colony Prep, going 20-for-40 en route to 45 points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds. Gebremeskel's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Nadene Chacon, who posted two points along with five assists, five boards, and four steals.
Front Range Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Union Colony Prep, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.
Front Range Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-38 win against Pikes Peak Christian on the 8th. As for Union Colony Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-36 victory against Estes Park on the 11th.
