Basketball Recap: Linsly Takes a Loss

Linsly suffered their closest defeat since December 16, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Buckeye Trail Warriors by a score of 47-44. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cadets came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 15th in West Virginia, while the Warriors are ranked 489th in Ohio).

Linsly now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Buckeye Trail, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Linsly will face off against Westerville North at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Buckeye Trail, they will be taking part in a tournament against Shenandoah at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
