Basketball Recap: Proctor Finds Playoff Glory Versus Syracuse Academy of Science

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Proctor had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took down the Syracuse Academy of Science Atoms 61-42. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Atoms are ranked 482nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the third in a row for Proctor, bringing their record for this year to 8-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points over those games. As for Syracuse Academy of Science, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Proctor has already played their next game, an 89-67 defeat against Rome Free Academy on the 27th. Syracuse Academy of Science does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
