Prairie View skates past Aurora Central with ease

Recap: Prairie View Thunderhawks vs. Aurora Central Trojans

The Prairie View Thunderhawks entered their tilt with the Aurora Central Trojans with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Prairie View simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Aurora Central 55-11 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Prairie View has managed all season.

Prairie View got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Celicia Robles out in front who scored 16 points along with eight assists and four steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Robles has scored at least 25% of Prairie View's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Walker, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, Aurora Central were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Prairie View only pulled down 24 offensive rebounds.

Prairie View has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Aurora Central, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Prairie View will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Poudre at 3:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. As for Aurora Central, they will face off against Aurora West College Prep Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Aurora West College Prep Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
