Volleyball Recap: Lebanon Find Success

It was a proper cat-fight when Lebanon faced off against Lawrence North on Saturday. The Tigers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

While Lebanon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16.

Their offense was headlined by Kinley Young and Mallory Short, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Caroline Brown and her 20 assists. Young and Short didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

When it comes to explaining why Lawrence North lost, don't look at Anna Joostberns. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and four assists. Joostberns has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Lebanon's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Lawrence North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Lebanon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Western Boone on the 29th. As for Lawrence North, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial on the 27th.
