Recap: Orestimba Warriors vs. Highlands Scots
The Orestimba Warriors had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Highlands 54-7 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Orestimba who now have six in a row.
It was another big night for Juan Esquivez, who rushed for 116 yards and five touchdowns on only seven carries. Esquivez hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for six straight games. Jacob Mar got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Several Scots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaycion Leblanc, who picked up 175 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Orestimba has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Highlands, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Orestimba will face off against Le Grand at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Le Grand is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
