Baseball Game Preview: Bald Eagle Area Eagles vs. Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers

The Bald Eagle Area Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Bald Eagle Area lost 11-2 to DuBois on Friday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bald Eagle Area saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Perry, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Brayden Dubbs was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Hollidaysburg made easy work of Bellwood-Antis on Tuesday and carried off an 18-8 win. The Golden Tigers haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Hollidaysburg got a massive performance out of Jay Albarano, who scored two runs while going 4-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Steiner, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Hollidaysburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Bald Eagle Area now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Hollidaysburg, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.

Bald Eagle Area skirted past Hollidaysburg 6-5 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bald Eagle Area since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
