Football Game Preview: Celebration Storm vs. Dr. Phillips Panthers + How To Watch

The Celebration Storm will head out on the road to face off against the Dr. Phillips Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Celebration is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Harmony on Friday. The Storm took a 26-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Longhorns. The loss continues a trend for the Storm in their meetings with the Longhorns: they've now lost seven in a row.

Celebration didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Nicholas Edouard and Kaseem Shelley. That interception was Edouard's first of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 42 points the game before, Dr. Phillips was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by Edgewater 35-6. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Eagles are ranked 14th).

Dr. Phillips' defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Celebration, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Celebration was dealt a bruising 40-9 defeat at the hands of Dr. Phillips when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Storm avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
